Description

SUMMARY:

Drives integration of new technologies into equipment designs/upgrades.
Responsible for developing and implementing plans to improve the quality, efficiency and yield of the film operations of the Specialty Films (Performance Products) plant in Pottsville, PA.
Leads or participates in the design and modification of equipment and assists in the commercialization of new products and processes.
Works closely with area improvement teams to facilitate employee involvement in improving production processes and reducing quality defects.
Participates as necessary in sales, marketing or technical service activities at customer sites, responds to customer requests/complaints.
Assist manufacturing work group in achieving business and technical objectives. Expand use of on-line measurement technology.
Embraces Honeywell Operating System, Six Sigma, 5S, Lean and standard work methodology.
Focus also on improving material yield and optimizing supply usage through analysis of the material production/consumption and reduction of variances.
Ensures proper consumption of raw materials are executed for all process orders ? works with operators to determine root cause of any consumption issues/reporting issues.
Supports reconciliation of inventories to those in SAP
Daily monitoring and analysis of process orders across Pottsville Plant
Supports development of product standards, BOMs and recipes
Provide coaching as necessary to improve operators? knowledge of SAP

Qualifications

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Minimum 3 years experience

Additional Qualifications:

Proficient in SAP in a manufacturing environment preferred
Strong communication skills
Bias for action and result oriented
Strong business acumen with the ability to drive process improvements
Certified Green/Black Belt desired
Film making and web handling experience is a plus
Previous experience in a 24/7 plant environment and operating in a cGMP plant
