Quality Assurance Manager

Description:

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for:

1. The overall coordination, functional management and leadership of our ISO 9001 Quality System.
2. Enterprise wide design control for both manufactured and sourced items.
3. Playing an integral role in corporate continuous improvement efforts geared improving profitability, quality and prevention.

Responsibilities/Duties:

1. Responsible for all phases of ISO 9001 Quality System including documentation, implementation and audits.
2. Product Engineering / Design Control including purchasing specifications and handling all customer inquiries regarding product performance, tolerances.
3. Maintain all CAR files and oversee evaluation, implementation of Corrective Action, monitor effectiveness of Corrective Action as well as disposition of discrepant materials at all levels of manufacturing.
4. Accountable for testing, documentation and quality procedures for all incoming, in process and finished goods.
5. Maintain processing and production specifications, ensure strict adherence as well as champion lean manufacturing / continuous improvement activities.

Education and Experience:

?Bachelor?s degree in chemistry, engineering, or equivalent
?Experience running ISO Certified Quality Systems
?Minimum of 5 years experience in managing quality systems in a multi-plant manufacturing environment. Preferably in a chemical, converting or pressure sensitive tape manufacturing environment.
?Proven experience in leading Lean Manufacturing / Continuous improvement initiatives.
?Self starter with demonstrated success in managing quality assurance systems
?Project management experience developing specific product solutions
?Excellent presentation, verbal and written communications skills
?Excellent analytical, organizational and computer skills
